About IDD Program Finder

IDD Program Finder was created by August Fisher at 14, who wanted to use AI to solve a real problem for families. The platform launched with a focus on the Northeast and is actively expanding nationwide — adding around 20 programs a day through an automated pipeline. Want to see how it works? Madeline Memar is a student at Pace Academy in Atlanta, Georgia, with a strong interest in disability inclusion, community engagement, and communications. Through her involvement with Best Buddies and the Collective Learning Academy, she works directly with students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping foster meaningful friendships and inclusive experiences. Madeline is also interested in public relations, communications, and community outreach.

IDD Program Finder exists to give families a clear starting point when navigating life after school. Finding the right day program or supported employment opportunity is one of the most confusing and time-consuming challenges families face — and there's no central place to begin. We're building that place, for free, and expanding it every day.

We add around 20 programs a day through an automated research pipeline, and fact-check every entry. Our focus is on transition-age youth and adults — programs that support life after school.
